This policy explains which personal data I collect through www.vivianapresicce.com, why, for how long, and what your rights are. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and Italian data protection law.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Viviana Presicce, VAT no. 02883440345, Via Montebello 37, Parma (PR), Italy. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to info@vivianapresicce.com.
Which data I collect and why
1. When you write to me through the contact form
Data: your name, your email address, the topic you choose and your message. Together with your message I keep a record of the consent you gave: the exact text you accepted, the date and time, the page you wrote from, the language of the page and your IP address with the last part removed, so that it no longer identifies your connection.
Why: to read your message and reply to you.
Legal basis: your request and the steps needed to answer it before any agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The consent record is kept to show how and when you accepted this policy (Art. 6(1)(c) and Art. 7(1) GDPR).
How long: up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. If your message leads to a course, a consultation or another service, the data needed for that relationship are kept as long as required by tax and accounting law.
Giving these data is up to you, but without your name, email and acceptance of this policy I cannot reply to your message.
2. If you choose to receive my letters (newsletter)
The newsletter box in the contact form is optional and never pre-ticked.
Data: your name, your email address, the date and the exact text of the consent you gave, and, as explained below, whether you open my emails and click their links.
Why: to send you my letters: reflections, news about courses, events and new dates.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what happened before.
How long: until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only a record of your consent and of your unsubscription, to be able to prove both, for no longer than 24 months.
How I measure opens and clicks in my emails
My emails may contain a tracking pixel: a transparent image of a single pixel, invisible to you, hosted by the platform that sends the email. When your email program downloads the images, that request tells me that the email was opened and when. Links may pass through an intermediate address that records the click and immediately takes you to the page.
I use this information only to understand which content is useful to you and to send you less of what is not.
You can switch it off at any time and keep receiving my letters: use the link at the bottom of every email, or write to info@vivianapresicce.com. From then on you will receive my emails without the pixel and without tracked links. If your email program blocks images, opens are not recorded at all; some programs, such as Apple Mail, download images in advance, so an email may appear as opened even if you did not read it.
Service emails, such as the reply to your message, do not contain tracking pixels.
3. Cookie choices
When you make a choice in the cookie banner, I keep a record of it: an anonymous random code saved in your browser, the choice you made, the date and time, the version of the banner, the page, your IP address with the last part removed and the type of browser and device (for example “Chrome / Android”).
Why: to remember your choice and to be able to prove it, as the law requires. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) and Art. 7(1) GDPR). How long: 12 months, then deleted automatically.
For everything about cookies and statistics, see the Cookie Policy.
4. Website statistics
Only if you allow it in the cookie banner, I use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
5. Technical data of the server
Like every website, the server that hosts this site automatically records some technical data of each visit (such as IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) in its log files. They are used only to keep the site working and secure and to investigate abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: for the limited period set by the hosting provider, unless needed to investigate an incident.
6. WhatsApp and links to other websites
If you tap the WhatsApp button, you leave this site and write to me on WhatsApp: your number and your messages are then processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms, and by me only to reply to you. This site also links to other websites (for example Substack, Instagram, TIIS, Pronte a Rinascere, Accademia Ostetrica). They are not controlled by me and have their own privacy policies.
Who processes your data with me
Your data are not sold and are not shared for other people’s marketing. They are processed only by me and by the suppliers I need to run the site, each bound by contract to protect them:
- Hosting provider (Hostcare, Italy): the server where the site, the contact messages and the consent records are stored.
- Email provider for my mailbox and for the notification of new messages.
- Google Ireland Ltd, only if you accept statistics cookies (Google Analytics 4).
- The platform that sends my newsletter, only if you subscribe.
Transfers outside the European Union
The site and its data are stored in the European Union. Google may process statistics data in the United States: Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission considers adequate, and also uses the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- correct them if they are wrong or incomplete;
- delete them, or limit how I use them;
- receive them in a common format or have them sent to someone else (portability);
- object to their use based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent (newsletter, open and click measurement, cookies) at any time.
Just write to info@vivianapresicce.com: I will answer within one month. If you think your data are not handled correctly, you can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the EU country where you live.
